Coody 17.2 PRO Inflatable Tent Collection (2–10 Person)
Forget the frustration of threading fragile metal poles. We replaced rigid frames with heavy-duty pressurized PVC air beams, creating a monolithic structure that offers an extraordinary 17.2 m² of usable floor space with an upright standing height of 2.20 m (86.61 in) throughout the cabin.
Designed to comfortably accommodate 2–10 people (sleeping up to 10 in sleeping bags), this extra-large inflatable tent house sets an unmatched benchmark for aesthetics, space, and living comfort. Whether you are outfitting a high-end glamping resort or organizing a multi-family car camping trip, the Coody 17.2 Pro delivers uncompromising luxury for spring, summer, and warm autumn adventures.
Grand 17.2 m² Cabin Layout & Split-Floor Organization
The Coody 17.2 is engineered specifically for campers who refuse to compromise on space.
- Massive Floor Plan: The 17.2 m² interior easily fits multiple king-sized air beds, camp furniture, and indoor lounge setups.
- Full Standing Height: A generous 2.20 m peak ceiling allows campers of all heights to walk freely and change clothes without stooping.
- Intelligent Split Floor: Features a hybrid floor design (PVC and Oxford cloth). This allows you to configure a dedicated "dirty zone" right at the entrance for muddy boots and firewood, keeping your main sleeping quarters pristine.
Fast Air Beam Setup & Aerodynamic Physics
The Coody 17.2 replaces traditional aluminum poles that can snap under stress with an advanced pneumatic architecture that absorbs kinetic energy.
- 15-Minute Pitching: Despite its massive 72 kg packed weight, pitching this giant blow-up tent takes just 15 minutes using an electric pump. Simply stake out the base and inflate the beams to the recommended 7.0 PSI.
- Superior Wind Resistance: The air frame is crafted from 0.7 mm thick, high-density PVC (865 g/m²). It safely flexes and withstands heavy wind gusts up to 72 km/h (20 m/s) without permanent deformation.
- Overpressure Safety Valve: To prevent seam damage from air expansion on hot sunny days, the rear beam is equipped with an automatic mechanical safety valve. It autonomously vents excess air, keeping internal pressure within the safe 5.0–8.0 PSI range.
Breathable Canvas & Panoramic TPU Windows
Crafted from high-grade 210 gsm Technical Cotton (TC) canvas (65% polyester / 35% cotton), the Coody 17.2 acts as a natural climate control system.
- Zero Condensation: The breathable TC fabric allows internal moisture to escape, drastically reducing indoor condensation during chilly nights while retaining internal heat.
- Panoramic Views: Large optical-grade 0.4T TPU windows flood the interior with natural daylight and offer unobstructed 360-degree views.
- Chilly Weather Ready: While recommended for temperatures of 0°C and above, the tent features a built-in 10 cm (3.93 in) silicone-coated fiberglass stove jack. You can safely run a wood stove to take the edge off crisp autumn nights.
- Full Weather Shield: Includes a heavy-duty 420D Oxford rainfly (PU 3000+ mm) for absolute waterproof protection during torrential downpours.
The Golden Rules of Canvas Maintenance
Owning a premium canvas tent requires proper care to ensure decades of reliable service.
- Seasoning: Before taking your Coody into heavy rain, the 210 gsm TC canvas must be "seasoned". You need to wet the tent and let it dry completely 3 to 5 times. This causes the cotton fibers to swell, permanently sealing the microscopic needle holes in the seams.
- Mandatory Drying: Canvas absorbs moisture. If you pack the tent while it is wet from rain or morning dew, you must unpack and thoroughly dry it within 24 hours. Wet canvas will begin to develop mold and rot within 48 hours if left packed.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Is the Coody 17.2 suitable for severe winter camping?
We strongly recommend this tent for spring, summer, and autumn camping (0°C and above). While it features a stove jack for heating on chilly nights, the cotton canvas fabric absorbs moisture. In sub-zero temperatures, condensation and melting snow can form an ice crust on the fabric. Furthermore, if you turn off the stove, the wet canvas and PVC frame can freeze stiff, making the tent extremely difficult to pack away.
How do I handle the 72 kg weight?
The Coody 17.2 is not a lightweight backpacking tent; it is a premium, heavy-duty glamping shelter. The 72 kg weight is a result of the ultra-thick 0.7 mm PVC air beams and dense 210 gsm canvas. You will need a vehicle with a spacious trunk, an SUV, or a trailer for transport. We highly recommend having two adults carry the bag and unfold the main structure.
Why does air escape when I disconnect the pump?
Before you start inflating, you must check the dual-cap valve assemblies. Ensure the internal cap is tightly screwed in; otherwise, the air will escape as soon as you remove the pump hose. Also, always keep the valve threads clean—sand, dirt, or pine needles trapped in the threads are the primary cause of micro-leaks.
Can the air beams pop on a hot summer day?
No. Coody tents are equipped with an automatic mechanical safety valve built directly into the rear beam. If the internal air pressure rises beyond the safe 8.0 PSI limit due to heat expansion, the valve will autonomously bleed off the excess air, protecting the seams and structure.
